The Riverview Bar is a local Kilkenny favourite, serves great pub food has live music at the weekends and all in all is a relaxed, friendly place to spend an evening. The award winning Riverside Restaurant has a lovely setting overlooking the River Nore and, in the summer months, opens out onto an atmospheric terrace area where you have the castle looming large just across the river

Afternoon Teas are also served and, weather permitting, BBQs, and overall the service is really excellent. The menu is generally pretty flexible and staff always being happy to cater to special needs and tastes.

THE LOCATION:

The Kilkenny River Court Hotel has a lovely secluded location in its own private courtyard, guarded by an archway, just after John’s bridge. This stretch of the River Nore is quite narrow and the views of the castle are really tremendous. Kilkenny’s Medieval Mile, the main shopping areas, theatres, restaurants, cafes and lots of nightlife options are all just a few minutes’ walk away. There is on-site parking at the hotel.
