The Kilkenny Hibernian is a 4 Star, boutique hotel in the heart of the city with a history spanning three centuries, an abundance of charm and character, and a real flair for interior design.

THE ACCOMMODATION:

They have forty seven luxurious rooms at the Hibernian; singles doubles and triples (one double & one single) as well as some top of the range suites. All the rooms come with Wifi, flat screen cable TV, Nespresso or Lavazza coffee machines, and some particularly nice bathrooms

The double rooms are divided between standard and deluxe, and while the standard are of an extremely high standard already the deluxe are bigger and brighter, and display more historical character with high ceilings and tall windows. They also come with smart TVs (with Netflix) as opposed to standard satellite TV, plus small extra perks like luxury bathrobes & slippers etc.

The hotel has three penthouse suites which offer all the extra design flair, and perks of the deluxe rooms but with a lot more space, a separate lounge area and a jacuzzi bath in the bathroom. FACILITIES:

Harper’s Restaurant is seen as one of Kilkenny’s finest with fresh seasonal food to be enjoyed in the comfortable, relaxed and very stylish dining hall with private dining also being available.

The hotel bar; the Hibernian bar is a local institution too. It is popular with locals and has a nice laid back atmosphere that transcends its luxury hotel setting. Pub food is available and they have live traditional music on some nights.

THE LOCATION:

The Hibernian is at no. 1 Ormonde Street right in the centre of the city, and less than two minutes walk from Kilkenny Castle.
